African Conference on Debt and Development (AfCoDD)

The African Forum and Network on Debt and Development (AFRODAD) was created 25 years ago as a Pan-African organisation advocating for accountable and transparent public debt management; debt cancellation; and efficient mechanisms for mobilisation, utilisation of domestic resources and use of international public finance in Africa. Today AFRODAD remains committed to assisting the long-term development of the continent through its contribution to finding sustainable solutions to Africa’s challenges in debt and resources management and financial development.
In collaboration with its Pan-African Civil Society Organisations, and national and international partners, AFRODAD is launching its inaugural African Conference on Debt and Development (AfCoDD) on 25th-27th August 2021. The AfCoDD brings together political, technical, and civic leaders from Africa to deliberate and agree on commitments that safeguard the macroeconomic sustainability of the continent towards achieving the structural transformation espoused in Agenda 2063.
